Parent information evening

February 22, 2013 by mmurnane

It was great to see so many parents at our information evening last night. Thanks to those who attended. It was a lovely, informal way to put faces to names and to answer some common questions about the way our school operates.

The main messages were simple. We are a learning community which welcomes parent invovlement and encourage you to continue to be a visible part of your child’s learning. You can do this by visiting our learning community and spending some time in here with us, watching how we work, or if this is not possible, staying in touch via email and the blogs.

Each child (by the end of next week) will have their own personal blogs as well as the school blog and the 5/6 blog.

Some of the posts on our blog you may wish to regularly visit, are the parent page, the homework page and the notes and permission forms page. YOu may also find the calendar of important events – which can be found on the right hand side of the blog, to be of assistance.

Last night we distributed a page of blogging tips which you may find useful.
