Gymnastics and netball success

Emma W

Congratulations goes to Emma Walters on her sensational year of netball with Anglesea. Emma, who is 11 years old, has spent the year playing U17 netball and blitzing the competition. Recently Emma was awarded the Dow Educational Scholarship worth $250 for her education. There is only one of these scholarships awarded each year by the Bellarine football / netball league.

Emma Q and Kiah

Emma Q and Kiah play U13 div 2 for the Torquay Tigers who compete in the Bellarine netball competition. Yesterday the girls were part of the winning Grand Final team, beating Barwon heads by 1 goal, in a big comeback win. This is a photo of the girls proudly wearing their winning medals.

Emma Q and Emma W

Both these talented netballers, have taken out Best and Fairest netball awards for the Bellarine League. Emma Q won B&F for U13, Div 2 and Emma W won the U13 Div 1 award. Congratulations girls. I’m sure these girls will come under the attention of the Vixens as they get older.

Congratulations again, to Maddie for winning first on vault individually and seventh on beam. Maddie came 7th overall, from a competitors list of 40. Maddie just continues to win medals and awards – a great reward for the hours of practice she puts in. Maddie’s team came first overall for the competition. (Meg had a wedding this weekend or else I’m sure she would be here with medals around her neck too.) Congratulations to all our talented sports students – these awards are fabulous and make us all really proud.

Well done girls. Its fantastic to see how very talented our students are at St Therese.
Big congratulations also to their parents who have helped them in many ways to achieve such grand results. Well done again 🙂
